Configure Port Forwarding in the HG532b Huawei Router with STC Firmware

Configure port forwarding on your router for your home server.

STEP 1: Register for a free domain name or a dynamic DNS server like DynDNS, OpenDNS, or No-ip. Take note of your domain name or host name when registering example: accessaf-13.no-ip.biz.

STEP 2: Download the software from DynDNS or no-ip.com. This software is needed to update your dynamic public ip address every time it changes.

STEP 3:Go to your home server. Set the ip address to static by choosing to use an ip address and let whatever ip is assigned there. Leave the DNS server as default. This will be the internal ip of your home computer.

STEP 4: Install the updater downloaded from DynDNS or no-ip.

STEP 5: Log-in to the interface of the router.

STEP 6: Click the "Advanced" tab -------> NAT -----------> Port Mapping. From the drop down menu of "application" choose whatever your home server you would want it to be. If it is a webserver then choose "webserver (HTTP)" with port 80. leave the external and internal ports as 80.

STEP 7: The internal host ip address is the static ip from step #3.

STEP 8: Check your settings by going to canyouseeme.org
